Work work work. That was all Oliver did now a days other than go to school and work on his songs. He needed to get out of work but his parents watched him almost all the time. Oliver silently wished that the work day would end so he could go to the russo sub shop. Soon his mother told him that his shift was over and he quickly took his hat off proving that he was off duty and jumped over his counter and ran out the door. He was wearing a band t-shirt, black skinnies and his black vans. He slowly walked into the sub shop and took a seat at the bar that was there. He smiled at the russo's father. Or so he thought that the old heavy set man was their father. And the girl that was skinny with thick curly hair was the mother. The girl with short hair was Alex and the other brothers were max and Justin. He spent way to much time here, to where his parents punished him because he smelt like wizards. Then again his parents knew who they lived next to. Oliver got what he normally gets which is a ham sub on white bread with cucumbers and ranch. He looked around hoping to see someone that he knew from school but then he remembered that he didn't talk to anybody at school. When he got his sub he ate it in silence half tempted to pull out his ipod and earbuds to listen to music. Music was like life support for Oliver. Without it he might be dead. Oliver got nothing out of the sandwhich. No matter how much he ate he would always need some kind of blood. It be human or animal's blood he still needed it. That was his life support his everything. The stuff that made him who he was. It ran through his veins, it was like coffee to him.

Jesse stood on a sidewalk. He was starving, but he ignored it. What Jesse really needed was shade. An opportunity came at a shop. Jesse walked inside and took off his sunglasses. He looked around and saw a few kids eating. Easy prey., Jesse thought. Reverend walked slowly towards the young man. He quickly looked around to make sure everyone was watching him. Reverend's fangs showed and his eyes turned blue. He lept onto bar and made sure everyone saw his fangs. This way, Jesse would get more blood from the mortals running. He tried to pick up the 19 year old. Jesse watched as the mortals ran. I'll catch up to them in a second., he thought. "Want to run and hide behind your mommy?", he said to the child trying sounding terrifying.

Oliver turned his head when he heard the door to the sub shop open. He saw a male who looked about his age maybe younger then again everybody but his parents and other vampires were younger than him. Oliver turned his head back not caring till he got a sent of the male. He was a vampire, a different one than him but still a vampire. The male jumped on the counter in front of Oliver and tried picking him up. Oliver saw the fangs and the blue eyes of the other male and Oliver knew he was right. Oliver let his fangs drop and he hissed at the other male trying to show that this was his town. Oliver would do anything to protect the mortals of his town. Oliver brought his knee up to kick the male in the crotch then Oliver pushed the male away from him with both his feet. Oliver did a back flip landing on his feet and got ready to attack. He really hoped that once the male knew that Oliver was a vampire he would back off of Oliver but that sometimes was not the case. Oliver looked around and saw some of the mortals hiding in corners some were standing outside the sub shop terrified. The rules of the vampire world were not to let mortals know about them. Oliver pulled back his fangs. If his parents found out they would have a field day.

Jesse was surprised when the vampire showed his fangs. He was then kneed. Jesse released the fellow bloodsucker. Reverend pretended not to be hurt, after all it wasn't as bad as a wooden stake. "You think I'm going to fight you. You should know already that neither of us would win.", Jesse admitted.
Reverend realized that some mortals were watching still. He would take care of the problem soon enough. Jesse pulled back his fangs. "You are feeling defensive, aren't you? Wait don't tell me. You care about this meat?", Jesse accused.
He couldn't believe this sad excuse for a vampire! It was pathetic.

Oliver was mad now. He just called the mortals meat. Really humans are not to be eaten. They are not herds of animals to be eaten. Unlike what his parents and most of the other vampire's thought, animals are better for vampires than humans are. Oliver relaxed a bit and smiled politely ate the other vampire hoping to send calming energy around the sub shop. "They are people. Just like us. This is my town I have lived here for over 1000 years. Touch anybody in here and I swear by everything good and bad I will hunt you down and kill you." Oliver said in a calm tone of voice showing no hurt, anger or anything. Oliver was actually very calm for once. He looked behind the counter to see the russo boys holding a stick like object in their hands. Oliver frowned at them and they calmed down but not much. It looked like the older boy had some experience in dealing with vampires. Oliver wanted to know how that came to be. He did not know of any other vampire in town. Then again he didn't even know about this vampire with blue eyes. "Now if you would please go pray on people from a different town we might be able to move on with our lives." Why did Oliver have to be so different? Why couldn't he just simply say pray on who ever you want? Why couldn't he be like his parents and pray on mortals? Or even like this vampire that was in front of him. "Look. If you could just pray somewhere else I would be happy. This town is for the vampires who live here. Not for trespassers to come and pray on the mortals who live here. Go back to where you came from."

Jesse could feel that this vampire was trying to calm down. He would let himself try to be somewhat calm. "Those people destroyed everything of mine. Because of those people my home was destroyed and my followers were burned.", he explained trying not to be completely furious and attack the over a thousand year old vampire.
Reverend listened to the older vampire, but couldn't reply. It was a few moments before he said, "Name?'
Jesse waited for the vampire to reply, trying to keep calm. He turned his head and saw some mortals. They are no threat to me., he thought.

The younger male tried to explain what happened to him. He called people his followers. That was new. Oliver knew nothing about a vampire having followers. They had families and that was it. He never knew nothing about followers. Oliver felt no pity for the vampire. When Olly was a kid he had to watch a rouge vampire get their head cut of and staked to the heart. Watching people you knew burn was nothing compared to the betrayal that came from a vampire telling mortals about them. Oliver knew nothing of the pain the vampire felt for mortals but this group of them Oliver would protect with his life. The other vampire asked for his name and Oliver smiled. "Not till you give me your name." Oliver said politely. He just hoped that the Russos didn't try to do anything. That would make this trying to calm the vampire in front him down harder than it already was. He obviously hated mortals with a passion that Oliver could not calm. Even though he wished he could.

A vampire fight. Great. That was the last thing Alex needed at the moment. She rolled her eyes as her brothers pulled out their wands and she lazy pulled hers out of her sock, "You know, this is really bad for business." She laughed. She was happy to not have any work to do, part of her wanted to thank the vampire for scaring all the customers away. But the look on her fathers face told her that she needed to get her head in the game. She stepped out from behind the counter, the one that silly little vampire had jumped on, and stood beside Oliver, her next door neighbor.
As Oliver spoke Alex just listened for a while. He was handling this vampire fairly well. She thought there was something different about him but she could never put her finger on it, now she knew that he was a vampire. She cocked an eyebrow at the counter-pire and smiled after Olivers last comment, "what he said, buddy. This town is protected and this was the wrong sub shop to mess with." She glared as he gestured to her two brothers, also pointing their wands at the vampire. Her mother and father had disappeared, probably into the back to let the wizards handle things.
"Why don't we take this outside, pearly whites?" she snapped.

"Jesse. , Jesse said.
Then out of nowhere a teen girl came. She explained to him what the older vampire said. I already knew what he meant, Jesse thought. He bared his fangs at the girl, warning her that he could hurt her. "Sure!", he told the girl signalling the older bloodsucker.
He started to get tense. Pretty soon, Jesse would bare his fangs and the whole thing would start over. Jesse started slowly walking toward the door. I better get away from the stick people. They might have a small threat if they broke off the end and stabbed him.

Oliver watched as Alex stood next to him with her wand out. She had no idea just how dangerous Vampires were. If a human or wizard or anybody got in their way of their meal they would attack and attack to kill. He was worried for Alex's safety. Even though he knew that she could handle herself he was still worried for her. He could see her brother's pointing their wands at the other vampire which he could tell was making the other vampire who was now named Jessie tense. Then Jesse bared his fangs at Alex and Oliver's fangs came out and he took a step forward. "If you couldn't tell the sun is down part way. It won't affect me." He said rudely. Oliver would protect everybody in this city. Including Alex. Oliver watched as Jesse started walking outside and Oliver followed him. Once outside Oliver ran up a light post. He could attack from above. Oliver looked around to see his bat land next to him on the post. He smiled and tapped a command. It was that if Jesse made the wrong move towards Alex to attack. Oliver would tense and try to jump at Jesse if he made the wrong move and if his bat attacked Jesse and distracted him that would give Oliver enough time to attack. Hopefully.

Alex took a step back when Jesse bared his fangs. Tough guy, huh? She had seen her fair share of fangs before, the love of her life was a werewolf, but that didn't mean it didn't freak her out. The only vampire she had met was Juliette and she was really nice. She didn't like the idea of this Jesse character. She also glanced at Oliver as he bared his own fangs and her eyes widened. She couldn't believe he had been a vampire this whole time and she didn't even know.
When the three went outside, Justin and Max went to find the customers and make sure everyone was all right. Alex cocked an eyebrow as Alex ran up a light post. "Neat, she muttered. Then she turned to Jesse, "So, Jess, how can we convince you to never come back to my sub shop ever again?" she kept her wand pointed at him with her other hand firmly on her hip.

Jesse was getting very much annoyed. He watched as the vampire ran up the streetlight. Big deal,, he thought. Jesse watched as a bat came to assist the other vampire. He watched as the girl started talking to him. They will give me something? That makes this place less likely to be destroyed?, he thought. He spent a few moments thinking about what he wanted from them. Then it came to him. All he had came here for was shade or blood. Reverend already had a few jackets and sunglasses. Looks like I've got a challenge., he thought. "Blood. The thing I came here for.", he said and the thought of blood made his fangs come out. (Sorry about late reply.)
