Bailey got out of the taxi she had gotten into at the dock once the driver stopped in Time Square. The SS. Tipton was docked in the wonderful and very large New York City, and Bailey Pickett wasn't going to let any opportunity pass her by. She had been the city only once before, and that was just passing through on her way to Boston to move onto the SS. Tipton when she started at the Sea School. She wanted to explore the city. She wanted to soak up the museums and the shows and all of the culture. Of course, her roommate London only wanted to shop. Bailey had opted out of this shopping trip. She would do some shopping, but she wasn't really in the market for a $5oo dress that looked like some sort of bird. She wanted little things: A mini statue of Lady Liberty. A paper bag full of post cards from various places around the city. Maybe even a hoodie, if she was feeling particularly touristy. Once the Taxi drove away, Bailey looked around, doing a full 360 and taking in the entire view, though there was so much to take in. She wasn't sure why she hadn't asked Cody to come along with her. Or Zach. Or even Woody or Addison or Marcus. It would have been nice to have a buddy.

Alex was doing as she always did, trying to find a way to get out of trouble. This particular time she decided that running away would be the best option. She cast a quick spell to make herself run a little faster than usual, but that also made it hard to see. Soon she found herself barreling toward a girl just standing there looking all innocent and excited, maybe a little confused. Alex wanted to call out but instead she flicked her wand and slowed down just in time to stop right in front of the girl. Almost too close for comfort.
Alex took a step back and quickly hid her wand behind her back. "Uh. Sorry bout that!" she said. No doubt this girl was a mortal and no doubt to her it looked like Alex had just come out of nowhere. Though, Alex didn't really know what people would have seen when she was running at super speed. Maybe a blur was visible.

Bailey was a little shocked when she turned around and a young woman was standing right in front of her as if she had just appeared out of no where. Of course, being skilled in science (and most things academic) Bailey knew that there was no way to pop out of no where. The girl had probably just been running and stopped there so she wouldn't run into her. Or had turned the corner without seeing that Bailey was on the other side. There were tons of logical explanations. "No it's alright. With how many people are here, I'm surprised that it doesn't happen more often." Bailey said. Though, the more she looked at the girl, the more she wondered whether or not she had seen her before. "You look sort of familiar..." She said and began to think of where she would have seen her. There was no way this was a girl from Kettlecorn. Bailey knew everyone in town. And since she had been on a boat for the last 3 years, she would have had to know the girl from the boat. The it clicked. "Oh! You were on the teen cruise from LA to Hawaii." She remembered. She clearly remembered that week because that was when Hannah Montana also took the cruise and Cody had gotten her tickets. It was also the event that started their relationship.

Alex chuckled nervously and glanced around, hoping her father didn't happen to be around to see her mess up. She barely listened to a single word the girl said, "Yup. NYC, super busy," she turned to glance at the girl when she said she had looked familiar and her eyes widened. Someone recognizing her was never, ever a good thing. Alex had caused all kinds of mischief and took notice, in a negative way, far too many times. The thought worried her. Right up until the girl said where she recognized her from.
"Teen cruise... oh!" Alexs hand went out to either side in an exclamation of recognition, "You're friends with those twins!" She nodded as she remembered and crossed her arms over her chest. "Nice to see you... Barley, was it?" Barley!? There was no way that was this girls name.
